Plein Air Saturday
We had a wonderful change for cloudy weather yesterday. That means: a plein air day!
Below some photos from the location
& painting company:

I will not wipe out this plein air, it's a keeper. Might paint it a little more but won't change the light:
I wanted to cover myself a little bit from wind so I found a good place in between the boats to set my easel and yet getting suntan. My original plan was to paint snow covered boats in this harbor but I didn't find a good view to them and wanted to paint something simple and study light/shadows mainly:

When I was done with the 1st painting my painting company, Bengal cat, came back from her walk:
Here she's on a boat with her endless curiosity:

This is the view I would have painted if I didn't have Bengal cat along with me. She needs attention and she is getting that! Part of these plain air trips is to take her out to walk in a different environment than the park near home.

There is a Bengal cat in the photo:
She feels a need to stick herself into every little rabbit/mouse hole she possibly can find. She was in there so that I could only see her nose but in the photo coming out:
She likes roots, walking over fallen tree trunks and rocks like a good leopard should:

People passing by said she looks so happy being outside and she is.
A few more shots from Saturday:

Cat on the ice. She did fall to the sea, but got wet the front paws only, at
that point we left, she needed to get paws dry quickly. Without cat
along this would have been my painting scene, but I can return here any day
when there is sunshine of course.
Checking out the approaching snow storm.
